Just before the start of Spring Training, Blue Jays General Manager Ross Atkins stated that if the team were to make any further additions, it would most likely come via trade.

That raises the question: Who are the Blue Jays' most likely trade chips?
TYLER HEINEMAN
While Heineman is currently set to back up Alejandro Kirk, the Blue Jays have several other catchers in camp, including Christian Bethancourt.

Since Heineman is out of options, the Blue Jays could look to move him for cash or a low-level prospect if they feel he won't win the job by Opening Day.
ZACH POP & TOMMY NANCE
Both Pop and Nance find themselves in a similar situation to Heineman-out of options and competing for one remaining bullpen spot.
If the Blue Jays decide to designate either for assignment (DFA), they could look to trade them for prospect depth.
ADDISON BARGER
It's tough to include Barger on this list, but there may not be room for him on the roster. His positional versatility and left-handed power make him an attractive trade piece for teams looking to add infield depth.
However, since Barger has minor league options remaining, the Blue Jays could opt to stash him in Triple-A rather than trade him.
ORELVIS MARTINEZ
Much like Barger, it's difficult to include Martinez here given his potential. However, with Leo Jimenez and Will Wagner set to open the season as backup infielders, Martinez could struggle to find playing time.
Additionally, his trade value took a hit after serving an 80-game suspension for PEDs last season.
CHRIS BASSITT
The hound's name has been floated in trade rumors, especially after a down year last season. However, a trade before the season starts seems unlikely.
If the Blue Jays are out of contention by the All-Star break, though, it could become a different conversation.
