The Toronto Blue Jays are in agreement with left-handed relief pitcher Amir Garrett.

As reported by Ben Nicholson-Smith, the deal is a minor league one that gives the Blue Jays another lefty option out of the bullpen this Spring.
Gate 14 podcast host Johnny Giunta was the first to break the story.
Garrett had made headlines earlier in the week for asking for a tryout with a Major League team. It seems the Blue Jays granted his request.
The terms of the deal are not yet known, but Garrett will report to Dunedin early next week.
Garrett, who has a reputation as a bit of a rabble-rouser, was a two-sport star in college, playing both baseball and basketball.
He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 22nd Round in 2011, with a clause that allowed to continue his basketball career.
He made his debut with the Reds in 2017, and went 10-17 with a 5.10 ERA over the next five years. In 235 games with the Reds, he started 14 and saved eight.
He signed a minor league deal with the Angels last year after spending the previous two seasons in Kansas City, but ultimately only played six games for Los Angeles.
Garrett has a very outgoing personality that can borderline on abrasive at times. However, he does give the Blue Jays another left-handed option alongside Brendon Little.
If he ends up making the team, look for the Blue Jays to use him in middle relief.
He'll compete for the final spot in the bullpen with Ryan Burr, Tommy Nance, Zach Pop, and Josh Walker.
