The Toronto Blue Jays are bringing back left-hander Ryan Yarbrough, according to FanSided's Robert Murray, who reports that the pitcher has agreed to a minor league deal. The signing has not yet been officially announced by the club.

Yarbrough performed well for the Blue Jays last season after being acquired at the trade deadline in a deal that sent outfielder Kevin Kiermaier to the Dodgers. In 12 appearances with Toronto, he posted a 2.01 ERA over 31.1 innings, often serving as a long reliever.
It's important to note that this is a minor league deal, meaning Yarbrough will be in camp but won't be added to the 40-man roster unless he makes the team. This allows the Blue Jays to avoid a corresponding roster move for now.
That said, Yarbrough should be in a strong position to compete for a bullpen spot. While it was initially believed there was only one relief role available, his return could push Brendon Little back to the minors. Other left-handed pitchers in camp include Josh Walker, Amir Garrett, and Mason Fluharty.
He would also an option to serve as a long reliever/hybrid role alongside Yariel Rodriguez.
As an Article XX(B) free agent, Yarbrough has the right to opt out of his contract if he doesn't make the team. His opt-out deadlines are five days before Opening Day, as well as on May 1st and June 1st.
Over his MLB career, Yarbrough has a 50-43 record with a 4.21 ERA across 196 games, including 68 starts, one complete game, and three saves.
