Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette spoke to Hazel Mae on Sunday about a possible contract extension with the club.
"I know how it works said Bichette. It's like what have you done for me lately.
This offseason I haven't seen much, so I don't know if they were talking about me or not. I was told that they would reach out. they haven't yet. In the past it has been during Spring Training that thy reach out to me. Obviously Vladdy is the priority at this point."

It appears that Bichette's primary focus is on his upcoming 2025 season, more so than a contract extension at this point.
If he doesn't put 2024 in the rearview and replicate what he did in his first few seasons in Toronto nothing else will matter.
He has said it many times before that he wants to play with his best friend Vladdy so he is most likely happy that the attention is off of him at Spring Training.
This way he can concentrate on what's important at the present time. Getting back to good.
Bichette has a lot of potential going into this season, being that he is playing in a contract year and there is a level of uncertainty going forward. You can bet on Bo having a career year in 2025.
