2025 could be Orelvis Martinez's year.

The infielder, who was suspended just one game into his major league career due to a positive test for Clomiphene, was recently named the Blue Jays' top prospect outside of MLB's Top 100.
While the Blue Jays had only one prospect listed in Baseball America's Top 100, they had two on MLB Pipeline's list. Outside of Trey Yesavage, Arjun Nimmala, and Ricky Tiedemann, Martinez is the biggest name in the Jays' system. The former two are still at least a couple of years away from the majors, with Yesavage slightly ahead, and Tiedemann is out until at least July following Tommy John surgery.
Initially signed as a shortstop, Martinez moved off the position last year and now profiles as a second baseman/third baseman. He has enough raw power to be a hitting machine at the hot corner, and at a relatively compact 5'11", he's agile enough for a middle infield spot.
His defence still needs work, though, wherever he plays. Given this, starting the season in Triple-A to focus on that aspect wouldn't be the worst option. It's also possible that he'll take some ground balls at first base this spring.
MMartinez's biggest strength is his bat, which many within the organization believe has 30-home run potential. While power in the minors doesn't always translate to the majors, the Blue Jays were confident enough in his swing to give him a brief call-up last year.
He'll have something to prove following his suspension, but the Jays are confident that he can re-establish himself. If he performs well in the minors, we could see him in the majors by mid-season, if not sooner. But he'll have to earn it.
