One of the biggest questions heading into Spring Training is who will get the reserve infielder roles for the <a href='mlb.com/bluejays' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Blue Jays</a>. With a plenty of options, there won't be room for everybody. So, who's in and who's out? The everyday starters at set. <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/k/kirkal01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Alejandro Kirk</a> at catcher, <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/guerrvl02.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Vladimir Guerrero Jr.</a> at first, <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gimenan01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Andres Gimenez</a> at second, and a healthy <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gimenan01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Bo Bichette</a> will return at short. <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/clemeer01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Ernie Clement</a>, fresh off his Gold Glove nomination, will get the chance to be the everyday player at third. But where does that leave the others? <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/bargead01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Addison Barger</a> should have an inside track on a job, seeing time in both the outfield and at third, particularly if <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/clemeer01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Clement</a> regresses. The <a href='mlb.com/bluejays' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Blue Jays</a> love <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/w/wagnewi01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Will Wagner</a> and his bat and he will likely get a lot of DH days, with some first and second base mixed in. <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/heinety01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Tyler Heineman</a> is currently set to back-up <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/k/kirkal01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Kirk</a> but the <a href='mlb.com/bluejays' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Blue Jays</a> have five additional catchers coming to spring, including <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/bethach01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Christian Bethancourt</a>. If he performs well, he could win the job. That leaves one roster spot left. <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/schneda03.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Davis Schneider</a> will have to earn his way back onto the team after a dreadful 2024. Additionally, the <a href='mlb.com/bluejays' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Blue Jays</a> seem to prefer him in the outfield so he may not be a factor here. <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/martior01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Orelvis Martinez</a> can hit everything and will be given a second chance after his suspension last year. Although the <a href='mlb.com/bluejays' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Blue Jays</a> love his bat, they would like to see his bat improve. Then there's <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/jimenle01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Leo Jimenez</a>. Although he was granted another option year, he feels like the best choice here, namely due to his ability to play shortstop. With <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gimenan01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Bo</a> coming back from injury, the <a href='mlb.com/bluejays' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Blue Jays</a> may choose to give him a DH day here and there. <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/jimenle01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Jimenez</a> could then cover <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gimenan01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Bo</a> at shortstop. Many things are possible. Josh Kasevich and Charles McAdoo will also be at camp. <a href='https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/jimenle01.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Jimenez</a> is still my pick here, but anything could happen.
