The Tampa Bay Rays have designated pitcher Brandon Brandon Eisert for assignment. The team now has seven days to trade, release, or outright him.

This move comes after the Rays officially finalized the signing of Ha-Seong Kim to a two-year deal.
Eisert was acquired by Tampa Bay from the Blue Jays for cash on January 23rd, after Toronto designated him for assignment following the completion of their deal with Anthony Santander.
It's an unfortunate turn for Eisert, who is now in search of a new opportunity after making his MLB debut last season.
In three appearances with the Blue Jays, he pitched 6.2 innings and posted a 4.05 ERA.
Eisert has had more success in the minor leagues, where he compiled an 18-9 record with a 3.76 ERA over 178 games, including 10 starts and six saves.
There's a possibility the Blue Jays could re-sign Eisert, but with their active roster currently at 40 players, it would likely have to be on a minor league contract.
It's not uncommon for a player to get DFA'd, claimed by another team, and then ultimately find their way back to their original team. Teams are always on the lookout for pitching depth, and Eisert presents a low-cost, low-risk option that many teams could afford to take a chance on.
Expect the Rays to explore a similar player-for-cash deal like the one they made with the Blue Jays.
