The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 13-9 in a game that featured plenty of longballs as well as former Toronto Danny Jansen.

With the win the Blue Jays improve to 9-6-1 on the Grapefruit League season.
Jose Berriosgot the start for the Blue Birds and looked solid through four innings of work, his only blemish being a three-run homer in the third. Overall, he walked two and struck out one.
The Blue Jays got to Raysstarter Taj Bradley early, with back-to-back doubles in the first, followed by two singles and a Rays error in the second.
The Blue Jays pulled ahead the third following two singles and a double, and then capped off by an RBI Triple from Daulton Varsho, who finished the day 2-4 with a double, triple, and two RBIs.
After Josh Walker allowed a game-tying homer in the 6th, and Zach Pop allowed another run to score in the seventh, the Blue Jays erupted for six runs in the eighth, an inning in which they sent 11 men to the plate.
Outfielder Will Robertson and DH Jay Harry each hit a two-run home run, then shortstop Josh Rivera reached on a throwing error by second baseman Jamie Westbrook, causing two more runs to score.
The Blue Jays added two in the ninth on a solo shot from Damiano Palmegiani and another Westbrook throwing error to put the Jays up by seven.
The Rays made things interesting in the bottom of the ninth, tagging Lazaro Estrada for three runs, before Eric Pardinho got the final out of the game to preserve the win for the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays continue their slate on Monday with a game against the Houston Astros. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05pm ET.
