The Toronto Blue Jays have lost another relief pitcher to injury, this time it is veteran reliever Amir Garrett.

The Blue Jays signed Garrett a few weeks ago to a minor league contract.
Blue Jays are in agreement with left-handed reliever Amir Garrett, source says. It's a minor-league deal that gives the Blue Jays another lefty relief option to consider this spring. - Ben Nicholson-Smith
Garrett came into the game in relief versus the New York Yankees in the sixth inning in which he gave up 3 earned runs on 3 hits with 0 strikeouts before being taking out of the game with an injury.

An unfortunate start to Garrett's Blue Jays tenure, as he departs with 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th due to injury. He threw back-to-back sliders followed by a changeup -- all balls -- before waiving for the training staff. - Thomas Hall
The club has yet to disclose Garrett's injury, the only information that has been released is that he is currently hurt.
This is unfortunate for the Blue Jays as they have been dealing with a lot of injuries on the pitching side so far in camp.
Erik Swanson, suffering from right forearm fatigue, has been a little behind in camp.
He threw a side session yesterday and looks to be on track for opening day, which is good news for the Blue Jays.
Ryan Burr has also yet to make a Spring Training appearance. The right-hander has been dealing with some right shoulder tendinitis and backed off throwing for a few days.
While he did play catch on February 22nd, he looks to moving a little bit slower. Still, the Blue Jays he will be ready for opening day, should he make the team.
Adam Kloffenstein, projected to be the Blue Jays 7th or 8th starter, has been with shoulder fatigue since the beginning of spring.
While an MRI showed no structural damage, it is a cause for concern as Kloffenstein missed the last two months of 2024 with a similar issues.
In addition, Adam Macko is recovering from a torn meniscus and will be sidelined for a significant amount of time.
Alek Manoah and Ricky Tiedemann, both on the mend from Tommy John surgery, are setting their sites on a mid-August return date.
The good news is none of the injuries have occurred to any of their starting pitchers.
