Erik Swanson is on the mend. The Blue Jays reliever experienced some forearm soreness after throwing a bullpen sessions on Thursday.

As a precaution, Swanson underwent an MRI on Friday. It showed no significant damage.
Swanson has said he is not concerned and continues to work back up to full strength.
Got an MRI.. structurally everything's good..I still feel strong and making sure I'm going about it the right way

Swanson is one of two Blue Jays pitchers dealing with the minor injuries during the first few days of camp.
Starter Adam Kloffenstein experienced some shoulder soreness and also underwent an MRI. Like Swanson's, it revealed no structural damage.
This is good news on both fronts for the Blue Jays, who are counting on Swanson being a key part of the bullpen after a strong final two months of 2024.
Swanson looks to heavily in the late innings alongside Yimi Garcia and Chad Green as a link to closer Jeff Hoffman.
The Blue Jays' set-up man has been through a lot the last year and struggled to regain his focus mentally after his young Toby was hit by a car during the Spring.
Toby survived, but his recovery took its toll and Swanson who was optioned to Triple-A mid-season. Upon returning, he appeared to have his old form again.
The Blue Jays don't anticipate any delays with Swanson, who should be ready for opening day.
