New Blue Jays pitcher once fought an entire team

Garrett's swagger could just be the fire this Blue Jays team needs.

In the glory years of 2015 and 2016, the Blue Jays were in their bad boys era with the likes of Jose Bautista and Josh Donaldson.

Although Genesis Cabrera had his moments, the Blue Jays have been missing that attitude in recent years.

Amir Garrett has it in spades.

His fight with the Pirates, a game which was notable for Yasiel Puig being traded mid-inning as part of the return for Trevor Bauer, wasn't the only time Garrett found himself in the middle of a scuffle.

Garrett got into it with the Cubs on two separate occasions, once challenging Javier Baez, and then entertained a shouting match with Anthony Rizzo the following season.

Garrett, along with Hall of Fame starter Max Scherzer will bring an intensity to this Blue Jays roster that has been lacking during their dismal 2024 season.

While there's no guarantee that Garrett makes the team, his penchant for starting fires would excite the Blue Jays fanbase and turn the team into a group of rowdy, rag-tag rebels.
