Blue Jays-Pirates spring training game delayed by rain

The Toronto Blue Jays and Pittsburgh Pirates will begin today's game in a rain delay.

Toronto is set to take on the Pirates in Grapefruit League action for the first time this spring, with Kevin Gausman scheduled to make his 2025 debut against Mitch Keller.
The Pirates announced that the game is expected to start at approximately 2:15 p.m. ET / 11:15 a.m. PT.
The Blue Jays brought some notable players to Bradenton, Fla., with Daulton Varsho, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Anthony Santander and Alejandro Kirk all in the starting nine.
Guerrero is set to make his first appearance of spring training at third base. He made 11 starts at the hot corner last season.

Daulton Varsho who is still rehabbing his right shoulder will get into todays lineup as the designated hitter.
With Bo Bichette getting a day off, Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Anthony Santander both shift up a spot.
Alejandro Kirk will bat cleanup today while Joey Loperfido and Leo Jimenez move up to the Middle.
Nathan Lukes has been getting a long look as a possible choice for the crowded fourth outfielder position, while Michael Stefanic and Riley Tirotta the same for an infield bench role.
