Coming into Spring Training, there were plenty of questions about what kind of team the Toronto Blue Jays would be in 2025. Ten games in, they already look to be in a much better spot than in recent years.

In their two spring matchups with the Tigers, the Blue Jays have combined for 23 runs - an encouraging sign for a team that struggled mightily on offence last season.
Even more encouraging is who's contributing. Sure, Myles Straw has been on fire, but the regulars are showing up too. Bo Bichete, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Alejandro Kirk, and Daulton Varsho are all off to strong starts. Anthony Santander drove in his first three runs as a Blue Jay on Monday, and Andres Gimenez added a double and a triple to raise his spring average to .400.
The offence is also showing some balance - it's not all home runs. Yes, they hit three in Sunday's win over Philadelphia, but in Monday's 13-3 rout, only two of those 13 runs came via the long ball - and both came with the game already well in hand.
Of course, success in spring doesn't always carry over to April, but the Blue Jayshave to be happy with how their offence is trending.
On the pitching side, Yariel Rodriguez has had some bumps and Bowden Francis has been inconsistent, but the rotation's core of Chris Bassitt, Jose Berrios, and Max Scherzer has been rock solid so far.
All in all, it feels like the Blue Jays are in a much stronger position heading into the regular season than they were a year ago. If they can carry some of this preseason momentum into April and May, they could quickly establish themselves as legitimate contenders.
There's still a long way to go - and plenty has to break right - but so far, the 2025 Blue Jays are looking like a team ready to turn the page.
