We're just over a month away from the season of giving and everyone is getting their wish lists together. Here's a fun little wish list for The Toronto Blue Jays to ask Santa for.

Dear Santa (Atkins) this is my wish list for this Holiday (off) season.
#1 VLADIMIR GUERRERO JR.! This is THE TOP of the list. This is the key piece for this team moving forward. The fans, the team, the Country needs this. Make it happen!

Now that we got that out of the way lets focus our attention on a few of the other needs and big holes the Toronto Blue Jays need to fill.

#2 Elite Closer. With the team sending 2 time All Star Jordan Romano to free agency the door is wide open for the Blue Jays to bring in a top quality closer. We have seen the team try and find magic in a bottle before. As a matter of fact I believe that's how Romano became the closer in the first place.

#3 BULLPEN ARMS. This is something that is quite obvious and discussed in length. The Blue Jays had a decent amount of go to arms last season but do not have a plethora of proven talent on the back end.

#4 BIG Bat. This is in addition to the signing of Vlad Jr. The Toronto Blue Jays had an extremely disappointing season at the plate in 2024 with the exception of Jr. the offence was abysmal. The Jays need a proven big bat to slide into the clean up spot.

#5 Outfielder. With the obvious and apparent decline in George Springer the Blue Jays are in need of a legitimate lead off and speedy outfielder. Not only that, a quality defensive outfielder that can work alongside Varsho and Springer. Their are a few internal options that are actually great candidates to fill that void if not addressed through trade or Free Agency.

These are in my opinion the top 5 needs. Now another piece that could check off a couple boxes is the most sought after Free Agent in the mix, one Juan Soto. It's hard to say if the Blue Jays are actually in the running for the sensational young talent but he would add instant credibility and put the Jays into contention conversations.

There are a few other very intriguing options still available. We will dive into what a 2025 dream team may look like for 2025 in the next piece. Thank you Santa Atkins for reading my letter. If I can only have 1 thing this holiday season PLEASE see #1. I've been a very good boy this year.
