Thinking on the prospect of what a Vladimir Guerrero Jr trade could actually look like is quite intriguing. There are a handful of legitimate teams that may go after his services if they believe he may stay and they can afford to keep him.

The key of any trade with Vlad will be the likelihood that he will sign an extension with the team he is traded to. Here's a couple of teams that likely have the depth and funds to pull the trigger.

The division rival Yankees seem to be at the top of the list when it comes to abundant talent and bankroll to facilitate.
The thought of having a one two punch of Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Aaron Judge is a terrifying thought. It has all the makings and nostalgia of a modern day Bash Brothers. Now what would it take to make that trade happen? You'd have to think right off the hop that Jasson Dominguez would have to be included along with at least a couple quality arms. Possibly a reunion with former Jays righty Marcus Stroman. It would be much more likely they'd be after younger arms with a bit more upside. The thought of that kind of trade with a team that you see more than most is enough to bring nightmares to the mind of likely most Jays fans. Trading Vlad to the New York Yankees seems like a pretty unlikely scenario but another team that may be in the mix and have more of a shot would be the Cincinnati Reds. The Red are an interesting thought with a ton of great young talent. They may be looking for a heavy hitting middle of the order First baseman to complement the incredible talent of Elly de la Cruz. An intriguing piece to this trade is hard throwing Hunter Greene. A package that would include Greene and Jonathan India might be something the Jays brass may consider. Now that Atkins is reportedly taking calls we'll see what the rumor mill comes up with next. I for one would much rather see Atkins lock Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in for the long haul.
