Gil Kim has been announced as manager of the Dunedin Blue Jays, the Low-A affiliate of the major league club.

The Toronto Blue Jays also unveiled their full minor league coaching staff across all levels.
Kim may be familiar to Blue Jays fans as he spent the last few seasons as field coordinator as was often seen in uniform during games.
Prior to that, he was the Blue Jays first ever director of player development, after hiring him away from the Rangers in 2016.
He had been a scout with Texas since 2010.
In 2020, he was added to the big league staff as a generic major league coach, while keeping his player development title.
Following a disappointing 2024 campaign, Kim was let go from the major league staff along with Jeff Ware and David Howell,, but the understanding was that he would be re-assigned within the organization.
Given his scouting and player development background, his a great choice for manager, especially at the lower levels.
The Blue Jays farm system is currently ranked 24th, and they have sought to improve their development and fundamentals. Kim is a perfect choice to help get them on that path.
Other notable coaches in the minors are Ashley Stephenson, who will be working with Kim in Dunedin as a positional coach, Austin Bibens-Dirkx, who will be the pitching coach at Double-A New Hampshire, and Casey Candaele who returns to manage the Buffalo Bisons.
This is Kim's first managerial post.
