Sportsnet's Shi Davidi announced that the Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to a minor league contract with former San Diego Padres reliever Bobby Milacki.

Milacki is the son of former big-leaguer Bob Milacki who played in the MLB as a pitcher for 9 seasons across 5 teams with his biggest career achievement coming in 1991 when he was part of a combined no-hitter.

Milacki Jr had 55 IP over 31 games between double- and triple-A with Padres last year, the 28-year-old struck out 49, walked just 13.

However, things went sideways last season for the San Antonio Missions as he only pitched 9 innings with a 13.00 ERA with 8 strikeouts in that time but it looks like the Blue Jays are hoping he could build off of his AA numbers.

While the Blue Jays are making a lot of minor league deals, they have been slow on the major league deals front as they have yet to make a move since the winter meeting earlier this week.

Blue Jays fans are still hoping that Ross Atkins will be able to sign free agent RHP Corbin Burnes but it looks like he is holding out to see if his childhood team the San Francisco Giants will raise their offer.

As it stands the Toronto Blue Jays are the front runners with the highest offer for Corbin Burnes.

The Blue Jays need another front end starter in the rotation, along with an elite closer and 2 big bats in their lineup.

Ross Atkins needs to get this bullpen to where it once was along with some protection in the batting order for Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
