The Toronto Blue Jays may not be as bad as everyone thinks.

The stats site FanGraphs recently released their list of the top 100 projected players for the 2025 season and four Blue Jays themselves on the list.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr.. was the highest Blue Jay on the list, coming in at number 22.

He is joined on the list by teammates Alejandro Kirk, Bo Bichette, and new addition Andres Gimenez.

And because the baseball world - and the internet as a whole - can rarely agree on anything, it is already getting a ton of feedback online.

The top three are, unsurprisingly Shohei Ohtani, Gunnar Henderson, and Aaron Judge, with Bobby Witt Jr. and Juan Soto rounding out the top 5.

Reigning Rookie of the Year Paul Skenes is the top-ranked pitcher on the list coming it at number 6.

The FanGraphs projections are based on, among other things, WAR.

While Guerrero's inclusion is no surprise, seeing Alejandro Kirk at number 35 raised more than a few eyebrows.

While his 2024 numbers - five home runs, and a 94 OPS+ might make his inclusion on the list seem like a bit of a head scratcher, the folks at Fan Graphs are banking on a rebound season from the Blue Jays number catcher.

As well, Kirk's peripheral stats are very underrated and he has one of the top pitch frame rates in the entire league. If he can find his 2022 power stroke, Kirk can be an elite catcher.

Bo Bichette, another player in need of a bounce back season, comes in at 65, while newest Blue Jay Andres Giménez just squeaks in at number 99.

It's a curious list, one certainly that comes with a lot of questions.

FanGraphs is considered one of the top and most detailed sites when it comes to player statistics and value, so their projections do mean something.

The folks running it understand numbers in a way very few baseball fans do.

Still, it will be interesting to see how their projections stack up by mid-season.

At any rate, having four players on there is nothing to sneeze at. Toronto Blue Jays may not be as bad as everyone thinks.
