Now that the Toronto Blue Jays have laded Max Scherzer, Kenley Jansen is now on their radar.

Couched in a MLB Trade Rumours on the New York Mets and Kenley Jansen, was a confirmation that the Blue Jays showed interest in the All-Star closer.
The extent of the team's interest is unknown but should hardly come as a surprise; theBlue Jays have been connected to practically everybody this offseason.
While the chances of them actually landing Jansen, who is 4th all-time in career saves, is not zero, it appears to be very very slim. Jansen has stated that he would like to continue closing and the Blue Jays appear to have found their ninth inning man in Jeff Hoffman. (Though, if you're Hoffman and you find yourself on the same team as Jansen, you defer to the potential Hall of Famer.)
It is somewhat surprising that a guy like Jansen is still available, even at the age of 37. Aging closers are becoming increasingly rare, and Jansen may have to accept a pay cut to get what he wants.
Besides the Blue Jays and Mets, the Tigers and and Cubs were also reporated to have interest in Jansen. It is likely that other teams spoke with him as well, but these are the teams that are publicly known.
The Blue Jays have Hoffman, the Cubs recently traded for Ryan Pressly, and the Mets have Edwin Diaz. It's hard to see Jansen signing with any of those teams.
If Jansen is able to find a home for 2025, he has a chance to move up the all-time list. He is just 31 saves away from tying Lee Smith, who is third all-time at 478. A couple more seasons and Jansen reaches the 500 mark, which should punch his ticket to Cooperstown.
