Rogers Media has fired former broadcaster and co-host of Breakfast Television Sid Seixeiro. The news was announced on-air by colleague Devo Brown.

Seixeiro's co-host Meredith Shaw was also let go.
No formal reason was given for the pair's departure.
Before he made the move to morning television in 2021, he was co-host of Tim & Sid on SportsNet with longtime co-host Tim Mcallief. The two would often engage in spirited debates, with Seixeiro perfecting the art of the passionate rant.
His rant about Blue Jays legend Jose Bautista remains the stuff of legend.
Shaw joined the program in 2023.
While fans were left fuming at unanswered questions, many of them taking to social media to voice their displeasure, a spokesperson for Rogers issued a statement via e-mail.
We're invested in Breakfast Television's success and leadership in Canadian morning television, and we'll announce exciting new plans in the coming weeks. As part of this evolution, we have parted ways with Sid Seixeiro and Meredith Shaw. We thank them for sharing their passion and energy with audiences every morning and wish them both the very best.

Before Shaw joined the show, Seixeiro was paired with Dina Pugilese, who left the show to spend more time with her family.
For his part, Seixeiro was gracious in a post on X.
While Seixeiro is a free agent, he is unlikely to return to SportsNet, which is another Rogers-owned station.
