The team announced they signed had four players, three to a minor leagues deals, and one to a major league contract.
Then, it was announced that GM Ross Atkins is at least entertaining offers for All-Star short stop Bo Bichette. How serious the talks are remains anybody's guess, but it is a reversal from Atkins' stance two weeks ago.
Then of course, there is Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Reports are the Blue Jays have stepped their talks with the superstar first baseman in recent days, with their latest unconfirmed offer coming in at around $500 Million.
The first news out of Blue Jays camp this morning was that they had signed pitcher Eric Pardinho to a minor league deal. Pardinho has spent his entire minor league career with the Blue Jays and re-upped with them after becoming a free agent.
Along with Pardinho's signing, the Blue Jays made official the previously announced signings of pitcher Eric Lauer and catcher Ali Sanchez. All three receive an invite to spring training.
A few hours later, the club announced they picked up reliever Josh Walker on a major league deal. Walker appeared in ten games for the Mets last season.
Subsequent to the Walker deal, pitcher Hagen Danner was designated for assignment.
While all this was going on, the Athletic's (subscription required) Ken Rosenthal reported that the Blue Jays were desperate to do something and said that the front office is open to trading Bo Bichette.
It was also mentioned that talks with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. have picked up steam, with a number in excess of $500M.
While there has been no official news on either Bo or Vladdy, the recent ramp up of talks indicates the possibility of a deal or two getting done before Christmas.
