The Toronto Blue Jays still have at least one loyal fan among their celebrity following.

In a recent press conference following a game, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, star point guard for the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder, declared his love for the Blue Jays.

During the press conference, the man they call SGA was seen sporting an MLB All-Star Game jacket.

The two-time NBA All-Star and 2025 MVP candidate was born in Toronto and raised in Hamilton. He comes from an athletic family; his mother Charmaine is a former Olympic track athlete, competing in the 400 Metre sprint for Antigua & Barbuda at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.

No word yet on SGA's thoughts on the lack of a contract extension for Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

It's good to see that in spite of a slow Blue Jays offseason, there are still some true-blue loyalists like SGA out there.

SGA is by far the only celebrity fan of the Jays. Others who have shown their Bluebird pride include Drake, Shania Twain, Justin Bieber, Eugene Levy, Penny Oleksiak, Geddy Lee and of course, Liz McGuire

SGA hopes to change the Thunder's fortunes as they have yet to win a Championship since moving to Oklahoma, though they did attain one back when they were known as the Seattle Supersonics.

But who knows, if the basketball gig doesn't work out, and if Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette leave after 2025, maybe the Blue Jays can sign Gilgeous-Alexander to a long-term contract.
