Chag Sameach Blue Jays fans!

As previously noted, we are counting down the most impactful Jewish Blue Jays during this Hanukkah season. Yesterday, we recapped Eddie Zosky.

Number seven: SCOTT FELDMAN

If we were going by career WAR then Feldman would be a lot higher on this list. However, given that he had one unmemorable season with the Blue Jays, he finds himself at number seven on this list.

Feldman was already in his 12th major league season when he was traded to the Blue Jays from the Houston midway through the 2016 season. While he was never a standout, he had put decent numbers as a starter over the previous decade, coming to Toronto with a career win-loss total of 69-76. He was even named Jewish pitcher of the year in 2009.

He only appeared in 14 games with the Blue Jays, and struggled mightily. Coming over August 1st, he went 2-1 with an 8.40 ERA, 14 strikeouts and six walks in 15 innings, giving up two home runs and having an ERA+ of only 57.

Still, the Blue Jays made the playoffs that year and Feldman was part of both the Wild Card and Division Series rosters but did not appear and was left off the postseason roster.

Feldman declared free agency after the season and ultimately signed a one-year deal with the Reds and was actually their opening day starter, having transferred back into the starting rotation for what ended up being his final season in the majors.

While Feldman didn't have much of an impact with the Blue Jays, he ranks slightly ahead of Zosky due to the latter being a spectacular disappointment in the eyes of many Blue Jays fans and management. But in reality, either of them could be in either spot.
