2025 could be Brendon Little's year.

After being acquired from the Chicago Cubs for cash in 2023, Little started 2024 in Buffalo. He was recalled in June and never looked back, ultimately going 1-2 with a 3.49 ERA and one save in 49 games.

He could be even better in 2025, which would be his first full season.

The Blue Jays are super high on Little, not only because he is a left handed pitcher, but also because of his clubhouse presence.

Little fills the void left by former Blue Jay Tim Mayza, who after a strong 2023, had a disastrous 2024 that ultimately led to him being cut by the team. As the only left-hander currently projected to start the year in the bullpen, Little could see a lot of action.

In a year in which so much went wrong for the Blue Jays in the bullpen, Little was a constant. Among the cycle of pitchers that included Brett de Geus, Easton Lucas, Nick Robertson, Luis Frias, Brandon Eisert, Jose Cuas, Paolo Espino, and Yerry Rodriguez, Brendon Little easily had the most success. Out of the group, de Geus was recently DFA'd by the team, Frias, Cuas, and Rodriguez have new teams, while Espino is currently a free agent.

While Little's arsenal may not blow anybody away, he is a two-pitch pitcher whose fastball can reach up to 96 mph.

Little should predominantly be used in a middle relief role, but if the Blue Jays opt not to go with a traditional long man out of the pen, he is a guy that could be stretched out in spring training.
